Venue

The conference will be held on the Campus of the Université de Pau et des Pays de l’Adour in Bayonne. This campus is located downtown and has the originality of having been designed within the ancient fortifications of the city. Participants will have the possibility of finding hotel accommodation in the city, within walking distance from the conference site, or easily reachable with public transportation. Bayonne belongs to the Bayonne-Anglet-Biarritz area located in the southwest of France, on the « Basque Coast », on the Atlantic shore and close to the Pyrenean mountains. Starting in the 19th century, under Napoleon III, this area has become a well known and attractive vacation place enjoying a nice and cool climate. The area is known worldwide for its surfing spots and offers a unique art of living anchored in the secular Basque tradition and art of living.

 Bayonne has regular air connections with Paris and Madrid and can be reached from Paris by fast train (4hrs). It is also possible to reach the area from the Spanish side nearby, through the San Sebastian airport (30mn by car).

Basque coast is a touristic location and participants are encouraged to book their hotel as soon as possible.
